The blog and Condominio 62
More than a diary almost a crowd
Here we are! The time has come to present you an important part of my website: This Is the blog: Condominium 62.
Yes, this is a special place to be! The Condominiums and I will talk about you, people like you, poetry as you, life as yours, work, rebellion, sex, money, goals, frustration, dreams, love, identity, yourself …
There will be my point of view with opinions and reflections, but it will be your diary too and your point of view with a constant dialogue just as you do with real friends.
Into the blog there will also be another entity … how to say … it is another part of me which I have decided to give them own space.
The Condominium 62 is occupied by 5 people. Five condominiums, almost a house-share where people live, often quarrel, where everyone thinks of their own business, dreams, works, cries and laughs.
They hope in a better future; they sink into quicksand and communicate their requests via email.
They try to be happy, but they are never it or almost never! Is difficult to obtain things desired. One lives in apparent democracy, but a creeping dictatorship is tangible.
As every Condominium.
I could say it’s the other part of me, but I think it’s fairer to admit that it’s my dark side, the NON-POLITICALLY correct part. Relatives who keep themselves hidden because they are uncomfortable, NOT PROPERLY educated but, above all, NOT SOCIALLY SUITABLE: noisy, unruly and without any bon ton, a bit coarse, uncaring, often rebellious and not very flexible, sometimes petulant and perhaps over the line. In brief, less conforming to the rules of life.
But I don’t want to break myself apart. The Head of Condominium will present the Condominium 62.
Why Condominium 62? I and the others multi-personality
Because it is really a condominium.
How to call it otherwise? I agreed with you that the weird part is that this condominium is found in only one person.
You may immediately object that I should call it Multi-Personality Disorder, but I can’t because Condominium 62 is not certified by any Psychiatrist and Mental Health Centre. And then, and here is the secret, all other condominiums do not see each other often. In fact, almost never.
I relegated them to the cellar.
Don’t overdo it now! I am not a jailer, it is that sometimes, for the common good, sacrifices must be made. Sometimes sacrificing people is the only way forward.
Someone had to govern and run the hut, and this was my job.
A hard-dirty job. I go to work, I pay bills, rent, taxes, I do the shopping. I clean the house and manage the family budget, organize domestic maintenance and, if they behave properly, and allow me to do everything, I take them out for a while.
The ungrateful though, after all that I’ve done for them over so many years of work and dedication, do you know what they did to me?
Some time ago they organized and mounted a full-blown revolution with lots of strikes and barricades. You can imagine the ruckus that came out of it. I didn’t recognize myself anymore!
After about a year of infighting, I say, of civil war, I managed to quell the riot. Arduous undertaking. Four against one: The Poetess, the Enamoured, the Eternal-Adolescent, the Rebel.
But I succeeded!
Yes, of course, I had to make some concessions. They live on the first floor. Now in the cellar, there are only embarrassments of a lifetime and, but I managed to contain them. They can expose their needs only once a week, In turn, and never all together.
Let’s be clear, I always have the purse strings. I make the decisions. The revolutionaries have read somewhere that democracy is fully express in other condominiums. Where are we going to end! And be it.
And be it
Do not expect much from those four nothingness’s: the Poetess lives with her head in the air thinking about poetry, the Enamoured one stresses me because it is time to have a boyfriend, I do not tell you what it means to fight with the Rebel has outlandish ideas and a vision of world that only understands her. The last one that often makes me lose patience the Eternal Teenager: I repeat it, again and again, to her:
you have grown up, you are no longer a sixteen year old, you have many, many, many years more!
In brief, do you understand why I kept them locked in the cellar?
And what about you? Are there any condominiums like mine in your area? True?!
Let me know if you too experience similar situations and how you fight them. I can’t wait for your info, maybe you can give me some suggestions and, above all, let me know what you think of the four newcomers you will soon come to know.
A hug to everyone now I run to work…
